Responsibilities

• Translate between written and spoken English to other languages while preserving the original meaning and context
• Review and proofread translated materials
• Research up-to-date, industry-specific terminology to ensure that translations are contextually accurate
• Collaborate with a team including writers, editors, and technical specialists
• Provide feedback to content creators to improve the source content for better translation results
• Handle multiple translation projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks effectively to meet deadlines
• Utilize translation and localization software and tools, as well as glossaries and style guides
• Maintain confidentiality and ethical standards when working with sensitive or proprietary information

Requirements

• Professional proficiency in English, and Native proficiency in your elected language. Excellent written and spoken skills in both
• Proven professional experience as a translator, with a portfolio or references demonstrating your translation work
• An education degree up to the bachelor’s level is the minimum requirement to apply for this position, preferably in translation, linguistics, or a related field
• Know the target audience and how to maintain cultural sensitivity and context in translation
• Strong research skills to understand specialized terminology and industry jargon
• Excellent attention to detail and proofreading skills
• Cultural sensitivity and an understanding of nuances in language and context
• Strong time management and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Adaptability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines
