Big Blue has partnered with UK the STAAR Facility (Social Protection Technical Assistance, Advice and Resources) and DAI Global UK Ltd. to produce an animation and a scrolling web-story that explains key findings and results from studies into the importance of social protection systems.
Amid the COVID pandemic, subsequent lockdowns and global economic recessions, it became much clearer how important it is for all countries and their governments to develop stronger social protection mechanisms.
The STAAR Facility and DAI Global UK are dedicated to expanding and improving the effectiveness of investments in gender-responsive social protection and crisis management.
DAI approached Big Blue to produce an animation to highlight the SPACE consortium’s approach to social protection (which includes AUSAID, UKAID, GIZ, and other partners), and to develop a scrolling web story that users can visit to learn more about social protection.
Our development team worked together very closely with the teams at STAAR and DAI to make sure the web story reflected what they had envisioned.
We produced a script, storyboards, original artwork, and animation for DAI in 2021-2022.
For the web story, we first developed a script and rough draft wireframe for the structure of the web page and the intended features for users. We then produced custom artwork branded to match the animation, and built the web story with an online web story builder.
The web story is now live, ensuring that the SPACE consortium’s approach to social protection is available for government, private and public sector organisations, social protection practitioners and other partners to access.
