Oky menstrual health tracker communications and campaigns

Period-positive messaging with UNICEF

Partner: UNICEF East Asia Pacific Regional Office

Big results

We are helping UNICEF to create an international movement that breaks the cultural taboos surrounding girls’ periods.

Story

Oky is the world’s first period tracker app for girls created with girls.

It provides information about menstruation in fun, creative and positive ways, straight into girls’ hands through the tools they use every day – mobile phones.

Oky lets girls feel in control and more confident by tracking their periods, and getting the information that all girls should know.

UNICEF needed a global communications partner to communicate the Oky brand, manage online campaigns, and increase user acquisition. Big Blue responded.

Approach

In digital campaigns, we focus on clear, fun, engaging content that helps girls feel connected to Oky.

In stakeholder communications, we create visual, compelling research products that engage.

We focus on audio-visual content that creates emotions: video, animation, illustrations, and avatars.

Results

The results include a growing international digital community around the Oky brand and mobile phone application.

Brand materials and research products have supported Oky’s roll-out in several new countries.

Oky’s online identity has been featured in media outlets internationally.
