World Bank Awareness and Precautions for Ambient Air Quality poster & video

Partner: World Bank

Big results

Big Blue took forward the World Bank’s Air Quality Index (AQI) awareness campaign by introducing compelling visuals and multimedia content to educate the public on air quality levels and health implications in Bangladesh.

Story

The World Bank tasked Big Blue with the creation of engaging educational materials, recognising the need to create a better public understanding of AQI and its health impacts. The project included the development of informative posters and a concise animation video. The objective was to disseminate clear, actionable information on air quality to a broad audience in both urban and rural settings of Bangladesh.

Approach

Big Blue took over from a previous vendor, bringing a fresh visual and narrative approach to the project. We developed new designs for the posters, prioritizing readability and cultural relevance, particularly in the Bangla language for local distribution. For the animation video, we developed a script that simplified complex AQI data into understandable content, complemented by visuals that showed the health risks associated with different AQI levels. The content was created to spark an engagement on social media, amplifying its reach and impact.

Results

The posters were distributed widely by the end of January, and the animation video was launched in February in 2025, both receiving positive feedback from communities and stakeholders. The materials raised awareness about air quality issues, with increased public discourse observed on social media platforms.
