Big Blue collaborated with the OECD to design VAT digital toolkits for the Asia-Pacific, Africa and LAC (Latin America and the Caribbean) regions.

Story

The OECD has created a policy framework for VAT in the digital economy, agreed upon by tax authorities worldwide.

The VAT Digital Toolkit is a guide for creating a digital trade VAT strategy in Asia-Pacific, Africa and LAC. It follows the OECD policy framework and includes best practices from successful jurisdictions. Big Blue had partnered with the OECD to help visualise the highlights and key recommendations that the OECD has compiled for these regions.

Approach

Our design team at Big Blue followed the OECD brand guidelines while developing the layout of the VAT toolkits for Africa, Asia-Pacific and LAC. We collaborated with the OECD team to finalise the design concept based on the content provided by them. Once everything was agreed upon, we proceeded with the actual design of the toolkits. The Africa region toolkit was created in English, French, and Portuguese, The LAC region toolkit was produced in English and Spanish while the Asia-Pacific toolkit was produced in English only.

Results

The VAT toolkits, both print and web versions, have been successfully delivered to the OECD team.
