Requirements

A minimum of 1 year of professional experience in video editing, motion graphics, and animation
Expertise in industry-standard software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator)
Proficient in non-linear editing techniques, with a strong understanding of pacing, timing, and storytelling
Proven ability to create visually stunning motion graphics and animations, demonstrating a strong sense of design and typography
Proven ability to collaborate in a team setting to produce audio-visual productions
Proven ability in storytelling combined with audio-visual editing to create emotive impact
Solid understanding of video formats, codecs, and compression techniques for various delivery platforms
Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple projects, meeting deadlines without compromising quality
Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
A creative portfolio showcasing your diverse skills in film editing, motion graphics, and animation

Role

Create and edit engaging video content for social media platforms
Develop creative concepts, scripts, and storyboards based on briefs
Optimise videos for different platforms, formats, and audience behaviour
Stay updated on trends and incorporate new styles, music, and formats
Track performance metrics and improve content based on insights
Contribute wherever film editing and animation are required
Develop custom concept art, storyboards, and animation assets from scripts
Develop art from existing brand guidelines and styles
Collaborate with directors, producers, and other team members to understand project objectives and deliver exceptional visual content
Edit and assemble video footage, ensuring seamless transitions, precise cuts, and coherent storytelling
Enhance videos with motion graphics, animations, and visual effects to elevate the overall production value
Utilise your artistic flair and technical proficiency to bring concepts to life through captivating visuals
Apply colour correction and grading techniques. Improve the visual aesthetics of video content
Stay up to date with industry trends, techniques, and emerging technologies to continuously improve your skills and contribute innovative ideas

Required skills and experience

Fully fluent with the Adobe Creative Suite, primarily Adobe Premiere, After Effects and Illustrator. Proficiency in additional editing software is a bonus.
Extremely high demonstrated English communication skills in speaking, presenting, and writing
Demonstrable portfolio in digital art, graphic design, publication, and animation assets
Demonstrable portfolio in storyboarding for animations and films
Demonstrable portfolio in using Adobe Illustrator to create animation assets specifically (not static artwork, e.g. for children’s storybooks)
Ability to emulate an existing art style and follow branding guidelines
1-2 years of industry experience with an animation team or agency
Ability to manage and prioritise projects effectively and to meet deadlines
Experience in script writing, storyboarding, sound design, voice talent management and music selection a plus
